Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-17
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what is and isn't allowed on Dealybee. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Violating the AUP can result in warnings, suspension, or a permanent ban.
If you see a violation, report it to [email protected].
1. Prohibited items
You may not list, sell, buy, or facilitate the transfer of:
- Illegal goods — anything illegal in the seller's or buyer's jurisdiction
- Stolen property or items obtained by fraud
- Counterfeit, replica, or IP-infringing goods — knock-off branded items, pirated media, unlicensed software, anything that infringes a trademark, copyright, or patent
- Weapons — firearms, ammunition, explosives, knives intended as weapons, or anything regulated as a weapon under federal or state law
- Drugs and drug paraphernalia — controlled substances, prescription medications, drug-test cheating products
- Recalled products — anything subject to a current safety recall by CPSC, NHTSA, FDA, or an equivalent authority
- Hazardous materials — flammables, corrosives, toxics, radioactives, asbestos, items requiring HAZMAT shipping
- Live animals or animal parts from endangered species
- Adult content — sexually explicit material or services
- Human remains, organs, or fluids
- Currency, financial instruments, or securities — cash, gift cards over face value, stocks, crypto, lottery tickets
- Personal data — names, addresses, contact info of third parties (including scraped marketplace data offered as a "list")
- Anything that requires a license to sell that the seller does not hold (alcohol, tobacco, regulated chemicals, etc.)
If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask [email protected] before listing.
2. Prohibited behaviors
You may not:
- Create multiple accounts (account farming, "Sybil" attacks) to game the Dealybee Score, evade a ban, or manipulate reputation
- Engage in wash trading — buying from yourself or a coordinated party to inflate your Score or transaction history
- Post fake reviews, fake inquiries, or fake responses (shilling)
- Harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against any user or Dealybee staff
- Circumvent Dealybee — attempt to complete a transaction off-platform after meeting on Dealybee in order to avoid fees, escrow, or dispute protection
- Misrepresent items — false descriptions, misleading photos, undisclosed defects, inaccurate condition, wrong shipping origin
- Submit fraudulent disputes — opening disputes you know to be baseless to extract refunds
- Abuse the AI tools — submitting prompts designed to make the agent produce harmful, illegal, or deceptive content; jailbreaking; prompt injection
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to Dealybee beyond personal browsing and the official Chrome extension
- Resell access to Dealybee or share an account with multiple people
- Interfere with the service — DOS attacks, exploiting vulnerabilities without permission, intentionally degrading performance for others
3. Trojan Horse Inquiries (cross-marketplace outreach)
Dealybee's buyer-agent feature can send outreach messages to sellers on other marketplaces on your behalf. When using this feature:
- Messages must be relevant to a real item the seller has listed
- You must respect the other marketplace's terms of service
- You must honor opt-outs immediately if a seller asks not to be contacted
- You may not send bulk, templated, off-topic, or unsolicited promotional content
- Dealybee may rate-limit, throttle, or block outbound activity that appears to be spam
Repeated violations result in loss of buyer-agent access.
4. Reporting violations
Report any violation to [email protected] with:
- The user, listing, or transaction in question (URLs help)
- A description of what you observed
- Any evidence (screenshots, message excerpts)
We investigate every report. We may ask follow-up questions. We do not share the reporter's identity with the reported party unless required by law.
5. Intellectual property and DMCA
If you believe content on Dealybee infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] containing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Identification of the infringing material and where it appears on Dealybee
- Your contact information
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the owner (or authorized to act for the owner)
- Your physical or electronic signature
We respond to valid notices within a reasonable time, typically by removing the content and notifying the user who posted it. The user may file a counter-notice. We terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
For trademark, patent, or right-of-publicity claims, use the same address.
6. Enforcement
We use a graduated response, balanced against severity:
| Violation severity | Typical response | |---|---| | Minor (first offense, low harm) | Warning + content removed | | Moderate (repeat or harmful) | 7-day suspension | | Major (fraud, illegal items, harassment) | Permanent ban + escrow released to wronged party where applicable | | Egregious (criminal activity, serious safety risk) | Immediate ban + report to law enforcement where required |
We may also:
- Lock or reverse pending transactions
- Withhold payouts pending investigation
- Remove individual listings, messages, or reviews
- Reduce or reset a user's Dealybee Score
7. Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you have 14 days from the action to appeal by emailing [email protected]. Tell us:
- The action you are appealing
- Why you believe it was in error
- Any evidence that supports your appeal
We review appeals fairly and respond within 14 days. Decisions on appeal are final.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes take effect 30 days after we notify registered users. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
